EXHIBITIONS
The CCGG held a pre Christmas show at the Crypt Gallery in St. Ives. It looked great but unfortunately sales were poor.
I now have work in aceramic show at The Lander Gallery, Lemon Street Market in Truro. That's a really nice place to visit if you don't already know it. Very light and spacious with a cafe that serves excellent lunches at a very good price and some interesting shops.
CARAVAN TO LET
We
now own a static caravan on an established site at Perranporth. It has direct
access on to the beach (five minutes walk) and is dog friendly. The site is
triple SI and therfore not subject to unsuitable developments.

Cornwall Open Studios
May 2011
I am not participating in Cornwall Open Studios this year but my studio and gallery are open all year round. If you wish to visit it's advisable to give us a ring first but there's usually someone here.
CHRISTMAS OPEN STUDIO
The gallery now has a festive look and visitors are welcome to come and browse! If you're looking for a truly unique Christmas gift then you may well find something here. Most of my pieces are one-offs and a lot of prices have been reduced.
WORKSHOPS
I have done a couple of workshops recently. These cover all aspects of craft pottery. Limited space means that I can only cater for two students at a time. If we were promised a spell of settled weather then we could expand into the garden but that looks unlikely at the moment!!
Fees are £30 per person per day. Students normally bring a packed lunch and I provide tea, coffee etc. There is a small charge for finished work to cover the cost of materials and firing.
I can also provide impromptu tuition for visitors in throwing technique etc. Finished pieces may then be fired and purchased.
Please contact me for details of classes. Details can also be found on www.ooh.com
GALLERIES
I am no longer a member of the Creftow cooperative in Helston but still have connections there and will be showing work at their gallery in Church Street from time to time.
I also have some work in Savoy House Gallery, Mullion and will be adding more soon.
Bowls and jugs in have been selling fairly well at the Lander Gallery in Lemon Street Market, Truro.
Some work is on show at the Great Atlantic Gallery in Falmouth
NEW WORK
My second kiln is now up and running. It was scheduled for dumping due to lack of space but luckily I was able to offer it a home!)
LASER GAS KILN FOR SALE
Delivery possible within Cornwall. £500 ono.
MUSIC
The St. Patrick's Day gig at the Prince of Wales, Falmouth went down a storm. Unfortunately it was Laurence's swan song with us as he is moving to Bristol. We are now on the lookout for a fiddle player but filling his shoes won't be easy!
I am re-starting the acoustic jam sessions on Sunday evenings at the Old Quay Inn in Devoran 8.30 pm onwards. You can bring an instrument and join in, borrow an instrument, sing along or just listen. Any genre, any ability - it's very informal and fun.
Another acoustic session takes place on alternate Wednesdays at the Trengilly Wartha near Constantine. This one is mainly blues based but other genres creep in.
Din of Inequity
Is now up and running again but with a new lineup. Simon is now on bass, Andy Pay is lead guitarist and Barry Kelly plays drums. I am still out in front with vocals, acoustic guitars and harmonica.
"Donkey Work" is still going but we need a fiddler to replace Laurence as he has moved away.
I have several solo gigs in the offing:-
18th December at Rumours Wine Bar, Falmouth, 4pm.
24th December at the Old Quay Inn, Devoran, 8 till late
31st December at the Old Quay again for New Year
21st January at the new Mylor Yacht Club.
