NEW GALLERY

I have now opened a small gallery in my garden. This will be open throughout the summer season and hopefully beyond. There is normally a selection of current work on view

Visitors are welcome but it is advisable to telephone in advance to make sure we are there.

WORKSHOPS

I conducted my first workshop on April 1st for the local W.I. The ladies seemed to enjoy themselves and were able to produce some finished pieces which have now been fired and glazed. I am told they were well received

I hope this will be the first of many.

I can also provide impromptu tuition for visitors in throwing technique etc. Finished pieces may then be fired and purchased.

I can now offer classes in various aspects of ceramics. These may be for the complete novice or for those wishing to gain more workshop experience. Unfortunately there is only space for two students at any one time. Please contact me for further details.

GALLERIES

I have just been accepted as a member of the Creftow cooperative in Helston so now have work on show at their gallery in Church Street.

I also have some work in Savoy House Gallery, Mullion and will be adding more soon.

In September I participated in the West Country Potters Association exhibition at the Mid Cornwall Galleries at St. Blazey Gate.

In November I shall be submitting work for the Christmas show at Lander Gallery, Lemon Street Market, Truro

NEW WORK

I am quite excited by new glazes and colours coming out of the kilns now. I plan to update the online gallery in the near future to include some of these.

(My second kiln is now up and running. It was scheduled for dumping due to lack of space but luckily I was able to offer it a home!)

EXHIBITIONS

In September I took part in the West Country Potters Association exhibition at Mid Cornwall Galleries.

The one-day market on Lemon Quay, Truro featuring work by the CCGG was fairly successful though dogged by some very heavy showers!

I shall be participating in the Shine Christmas Fair at Trelowarren which runs from Friday 28th November until Sunday 30th November and promises to be very festive and entertaining.

Some of my pieces will be included in an exhibition of paintings by Amanda Holdgate at the Gallery@Helston. This is in the basement of the Cornwall Hospice Care shop in Meneage Street and commisions from sales go to aid that charity. The show runs from 22nd November to the 4th December.

MUSIC

My band "Din of Inequity" will be playing at the following venues:-

Saturday 8th November Old Success, Sennen Cove

Saturday 15th November, Old Quay Inn, Devoran

Wednesday 26th November, Carlyon Arms, St. Austell

Saturday 6th December, The Harbourside, Charlestown
